Remove trip, fall, and choking hazards

Check for wet surfaces or puddles

Check operation of windows and doors

Check for damaged electrical cords

Test ground fault interrupters (GFCI)

Check smoke and CO alarms

Ensure proper storage of fuel cans

Test garage door safety shut-off

Check for signs of water damage

Inspect corners, storage areas, and ceiling for rodent droppings or insect nests.
