Bathtub Recaulk and Fixture Replacement in Suffern, NY

In Suffern, NY, we handled a bathtub recaulk and fixture replacement in a bathroom where the caulk had darkened completely with mold and pulled away from the tile-to-tub seam. The beige ceramic wall tile was otherwise intact and worth keeping. The old single-handle fixture had no trim plate and showed its age. We stripped the old caulk from every tile-to-tub joint and corner seam, cleaned and dried the surfaces, then applied fresh white silicone caulk in continuous, even beads along the tub deck and inside corner where the two tiled walls meet. We also replaced the tub and shower hardware, installing a polished chrome tub/shower valve with a round trim plate and lever handle, along with a new tub spout. The corner bead now runs clean and unbroken from top to bottom where the old caulk had failed. In this Suffern bathroom, the tub surround shows a continuous white caulk line and the new chrome valve, trim plate, lever handle, and spout in place.
