This New Rochelle, NY project covered two separate entrances at the home: an exterior steel door set into a stucco surround, and an interior full-lite glass door leading from the kitchen to the back deck. We removed the existing exterior door and installed a new JELD-WEN exterior steel door in its place, reinstalling the existing handleset hardware on the new unit and painting both sides brown. We also installed a new brass threshold at the base of the door. On the interior glass door, we scraped and prepped the surface, repainted it and its trim in white, and installed new satin nickel hardware, including a lever handle and deadbolt. The exterior entry in New Rochelle now has a new steel door painted brown with a fresh brass threshold at the sill. Inside, the glass door leading to the back deck has a smooth white finish, clean trim, and new satin nickel hardware.
