Interior Door Installation and Trim Carpentry in Queens Village, NY

In a hallway in Queens Village, NY, the homeowner had one doorway with a single-panel door painted a worn black, fitted with only a small surface-mounted latch and no knob, set within casing that lacked clean trim definition. The opening beside it had no door at all, with raw jamb edges and exposed drywall returns. We installed new casing on both faces of the previously bare opening, bringing it into alignment with the surrounding wall. On the original doorway, we refreshed the single-panel door and fitted it with a brass knob set in place of the latch, and painted its casing white to match the new trim. A second single-panel door in the same black tone was hung in the newly cased opening, with a brass knob matching the first. Both doors now swing true, close fully, and sit flush within their frames. The white casing reads cleanly against the sage green walls in the Queens Village hallway, and the brass knobs stand out against the black doors.
