The balcony door in this Port Chester, NY home had come off its frame. The wood paneling behind it had rotted, leaving nothing solid to nail into, which is why the door could no longer be reliably rehung using the original method. The door frame showed chipped paint down to bare wood, with old hardware holes left in the damaged sections it was fastened to. We removed the rotted section of the wood paneling and replaced it with new wood, giving the door frame solid material to work with. We then rehung the balcony door, fastening it into that solid backing so the hardware had something secure to hold onto. The balcony door in Port Chester is now rehung and fastened to solid backing, closing the gap that had been left when it came off its frame.
