In Yonkers, NY, we worked on a bedroom door, trim, and window treatments. The door casing was stripped and damaged at both the hinge and latch sides, with raw wood exposed and paint chipping along the jamb edges, and the door itself showed gaps between it and the jamb. We removed the damaged door casing and replaced it with new trim, fitted and prepped for paint. Separately, we repaired the door itself so it hangs and closes correctly, closing the gaps that had been visible at the jamb. We also took down the curtain rods and curtains, clearing the walls ahead of painting. With the walls clear, we painted them a matte light gray and finished the new trim and door in semi-gloss white. We also wall-mounted a flat-screen television in the bedroom, routing the cables neatly down the wall. The bedroom in Yonkers now has a door that hangs and closes correctly, fresh white trim, and light gray walls, along with the mounted television and its neatly routed cables.
