This basement in White Plains, NY had been set up as a home gym, filled with weight equipment, in a room finished with drywall over metal stud framing along the foundation walls. We cleared the gym equipment out, then stripped the drywall and insulation from the perimeter walls down to the bare metal stud framing, exposing the concrete foundation behind it. Taking the walls down revealed staining on the concrete block and flex conduit runs woven through the wall cavity. When we finished, the wall assembly was fully stripped, with the concrete foundation wall visible from one end of this White Plains basement to the other. The small hopper window, which had been partly obscured by the gym setup, is now accessible, and the existing electrical conduit was left intact and exposed.
