What the work actually involves
Interior painting covers walls, ceilings, trim and doors. We start with prep: filling small holes and cracks, sanding smooth, and priming spots that need it so the new paint holds evenly. Two coats is standard for the finished surfaces.
Exterior painting and cabinet painting are separate services, each with their own scope and pricing, so if you need those too we quote them separately.

The estimate visit and quote
We come out for a free, no-obligation on-site estimate and walk the rooms with you. You tell us what you want painted, we look at wall and trim condition, and we put together a line-item quote that separates labor, prep, and materials.
New requests get a 30-minute response target, so scheduling that visit doesn't take long.
What's included, what's quoted separately
We supply all materials — paint, primer, board, and hardware — and they appear as their own lines on your quote. You approve the color and sheen. Protecting your floors and furniture, and cleaning up at the end of each work day, are part of the job.
Prep is priced separately because wall condition varies from room to room. If prep turns out to be more involved than expected, that becomes a line item you approve before we do the work.
Timing and living through the work
A certificate of insurance is attached to every quote. If your co-op or condo building asks for one, we send ours along with the quote so you have it before work starts.
Two coats need dry time between them, so a single room typically comes together over more than one day rather than in one pass. Clear small items off surfaces before we arrive; we move larger furniture to the center of the room and cover it, and we protect floors with drop cloths. Multi-room jobs are usually scheduled across more than one visit so each room gets full dry time between coats.

We're licensed and insured under Westchester County Home Improvement Contractor license WC-40688-H26, based in Mount Vernon and working throughout Westchester County and the Bronx, including Yonkers. The one-year workmanship warranty covers the work after we leave, and if something needs a touch-up under that warranty, we come back and fix it.
If your building asks for a certificate of insurance, we send ours with the quote. In older homes, ask any contractor about lead-safe prep practices for painted surfaces before work starts.
